Guitar Luthier Cape Town

Cape Town is home to me. Growing up, constantly hearing music in our house there were no chance I was ever going to escape those roots of melody and song that was planted in my brain.

At eleven years old I had to walk 12 kilometers to get my first ever acoustic guitar since someone I heard of was giving it away and I was determined to get my hands on it at the soonest possible opportunity. Back home I promptly took a knife from the kitchen, scraped off the chipped finish, polished up the bare wood with floorwax which smelled and looked great – I felt great !

Today, many years later, I still repair guitars and make them too – only in a much more serious way.
